The flood warning continues for the Scioto River Near Larue
 
* until Sunday morning…or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:00 AM Saturday the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast…The river will rise to near 11.5 feet by this afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
* At 12.0 feet…Flooding occurs in lowland areas south of the Village of La Rue. Route 37, North High Street, and parts of Vine Street inundated.

A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EST SATURDAY FOR ERIE AND WEST CENTRAL LORAIN COUNTIES…

At 330 PM EST, emergency management reported flooding in Riverside Drive in Vermilion. Rainfall in combination with snowmelt has caused the Vermilion River to rise. Ice at the mouth of the river is causing the water to back up. The ice at the mouth of the river was estimated at several inches thick and is not expected to break up tonight. River levels are expected to rise tonight which will continue flooding in the Riverside Drive community. The flood waters will be slow to recede as long as the ice remains in place extending the flood threat into Saturday. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Lorain, Western Vermilion and Vermilion.
