WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 10 AM EST THURSDAY…

Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected. Portions of north central and northeast Ohio. From noon today to 10 AM EST Thursday. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

Wind Advisory for All of North Central Ohio till 10 am Sunday

Wind Advisory

A strong cold front will move across the forecast area this evening. Behind the front gusty northwest winds will increase behind the front. Wind gusts of 50 mph or stronger are possible, especially near the Lake Erie shoreline.

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST SUNDAY…
TIMING. tonight and early Sunday.
WINDS. south winds 15 to 20 mph will turn to the northwest and increase to 25 to 35 MPH. Wind gusts to 50 mph are possible.
IMPACTS. Downed branches and power lines. Objects that are not secured such as trash cans or lawn furniture may be blown away.

Instructions: Winds of this magnitude can cause minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists should use caution especially motorists in high profile vehicles.

Flood Watch for Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Holmes, Wayne

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Flood Watch for portions of north central Ohio, northeast Ohio, and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in north central Ohio, Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow, and Richland. In northeast Ohio, Holmes, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne. In northwest Ohio, Hancock and Wyandot. Through this evening

Showers and thunderstorms will continue through this evening with a widespread 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of rain possible by this evening.

Excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding of streams, low lying spots, and poor drainage areas especially in urban and hilly locations. Those near streams and rivers should be especially cautious as streams and rivers can rise quickly.

TIMING Winds will begin to increase late tomorrow but the strongest winds are expected Saturday night and early Sunday.

TORNADO WARNING – EAST CENTRAL ASHLAND , WESTERN WAYNE till 6pm

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Tornado Warning for.  East central Ashland County in north central Ohio… Western Wayne County in northeastern Ohio…
Until 600 PM EST
At 534 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Hayesville, or near Ashland, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

Showers And Thunderstorms Will Affect The Area Today And Tonight. The Storms Will Become More Widespread Toward Evening With Several Hours Of Heavy Rain Expected Tonight As A Cold Front Crosses The Region. Rain Totals Of 1 To 2 Inches Are Expected Across The Entire Watch Area With Localized Amounts In Excess Of 3 Inches Possible. The Rain Will End From Northwest To Southeast Late Tonight.
